Birds will eagerly deliver themselves to your yard with this Bird In Hand Amish Made Mercer Mailbox Bird House. Skillfully made by the Amish in eastern Pennsylvania using reclaimed and recycled wood and featuring a 1.25" diameter entry hole, this house is ideal for wrens and other small birds. With a purposefully weathered look, this charming little mailbox-shaped bird house will add a rustic touch to your yard that you will never want to "return to sender." The cute red metal mail flag is secured in the raised position, as if indicating that birds have been safely dropped off in the box. The steeply sloped sheet metal roof provides durability to the piece and overhangs the entry hole to help nesting birds stay dry. A small metal panel on the back of the house slides open to unveil a 2" diameter hole which permits convenient cleaning and observation of visitors. A wire on top of the house allows for easy hanging, or the flat base can accommodate a mounting plate for display on a pole or post. The reclaimed and recycled wood construction lends a sense of environmental friendliness to the piece. Make sure you deliver a comfortable roost to your backyard birds with this Amish Made Mercer Mailbox Bird House. Made in the USA.
