Their thin design also prevents rocks and other debris from reaching the pump inlet, and the buttressed edges on the vault create a sturdy frame which will not collapse or warp after backfilling. The generous, 21" square compartment can accommodate either a vertically- or horizontally-submerged pump, and a 2" outlet on the front helps direct your tubing without crimping it. A notch beneath the reinforced lid accommodates your pump's power cord, and this lid holds the weight of gravel or stones easily. The included auto fill kit may also be installed in this vault and attached to your garden hose, and will automatically replenish the water so your pump does not run dry. The item's black color perfectly camouflages it in your pondless reservoir, and the all plastic, reinforced body ensures durability.
